2.  Talking About Ownership 玩具的主人 (wán jù de zhǔ rén)

我的 (wǒ de) – mine
你的 (nǐ de) – yours
他的/她的 (tā de) – his/hers

Examples

Zhè shì wǒ de wán jù. – This is my toy.

那个是你的球吗?
Nà ge shì nǐ de qiú ma? – Is that your ball?

她的娃娃很可爱。
Tā de wá wa hěn kě ài. – Her doll is very cute.


 

3. Phrases for Sharing 分享 (fēn xiǎng)

给你 (gěi nǐ) – here you go
一起玩 (yì qǐ wán) – play together
可以借我吗?(kě yǐ jiè wǒ ma?) – Can I borrow it?
谢谢 (xiè xie) – thank you
我们换一换 (wǒ men huàn yí huàn) – let’s swap toys

Examples

我们一起玩吧!
Wǒ men yì qǐ wán ba! – Let’s play together!

可以借我你的车吗?
Kě yǐ jiè wǒ nǐ de chē ma? – Can I borrow your car?

Ask your child to pick one toy and complete these:

它是大还是小?
Tā shì dà hái shì xiǎo? (Is it big or small?)

它是什么颜色?
Tā shì shén me yán sè? (What color is it?)

你喜欢它吗?为什么?
Nǐ xǐ huān tā ma? Wèi shén me? (Do you like it? Why?)

你想和谁一起玩?
Nǐ xiǎng hé shéi yì qǐ wán? (Who do you want to play with?)
